FISHING

"I'm the best caster ever made!!!!"

MY GIRL

We sat on the couch.
"Ava, come here...I need to talk to you. I want you to know that I will always, always love you."
(sweet look, big hug)
"And when you get bigger, you might do some things that aren't very good but just know that I will always, always love you."
(sweet look, smile, big hug)
"And one other thing. I want you to know that you can always, always talk to me about anything you want."
(wide eyes, smile)
"Like turtles? Can we talk about turtles?"

REVOLVING DOOR: THAT'S THE WAY WE LIKE IT!

We've been busy! I'm so happy that we have a place where we can have people come and stay with us.
Priscilla and Edie flew down on a Wednesday at the end of March for Sally Barnett's funeral. We had a good couple of days together.
Edie would not sit still long enough for me to take a picture but this is proof that she was here!
Dale, Lynne and Becky stayed that Saturday night on their way back to MN. Donald took them to the airport early Sunday morning. It was so good to see them.
On Tuesday night, Sharon, Sarah, Lyle and Westin came for supper and then the brothers stayed the night with us.
Merlin and Myrna stopped by and stayed Wednesday night on their way to Louisiana.

Mom and Dad showed up the day that Merlin and Myrna left and stayed with us for almost a week. We had a wonderful time!
Auntie Andrea flew in the same day that Mom and Dad headed back to MN. Thanks for coming to see us Auntie!
While Andrea was here, Derek Henderson came over from San Antonio for the weekend.
The day after Andrea left, Butch and Cindy Muller stayed with us for two nights on their way back to MN for the summer.

JAINA: 10 MONTHS

It's hard to believe that our little bug is already 10 months old. Time sure flies...It's hard to even remember what she was like as an infant. It's hard to get her to sit still for a picture nowadays so I take what I can get!
  • 21.5 lbs
  • 18 month clothes
  • size 4 diapers
  • says dada, mama, tap (dab), bye (bah), hi (ha), uh oh, doggy (dada).
  • She loves to wave and say "hi" and "bye"
  • She's been standing on her own for a couple of weeks but no steps yet.
  • She loves to be outside...and puts everything in her mouth.
  • I love what when she wakes up, I open the door and she's sitting there grinning. She spins around and dives into her blanket, laughing. She's not eager to get out of her crib...she'd rather play the "I'm gonna get you" game.
  • She's got quite the sense of humor.
  • LOVES veggies.
  • Nights are getting better...we had one all nighter a couple of nights ago and I woke up all worried...I had to check on her before I could go back to sleep!
  • She puts herself to sleep as long as she's fed and dry. :)
